Based on characters from a children’s book series, The Adventures of Willy Nilly and Thumper by Jim Henry, Willy Nilly and Thumper are two fun-loving friends that are always looking for adventure.
 
The stories of Willy Nilly, the clever dog, and his spirited rabbit pal Thumper, bring children on exciting journeys through the magical land of Choco, while helping them learn about important values, such as honesty, friendship, courage, team work and community – just to name a few.

Custom Mascot Raises Awareness for Autism

Last month was Autism Awareness Month.  Autism is a lifelong developmental disorder that affects socialization and communication skills, as well as how an individual perceives the world around them. 
 
We feel fortunate to have worked with Families for Autism Support and Awareness, to create a mascot designed to raise awareness about autism, and engage families affected by autism.

April is Earth Month and this year the focus is environmental and climate literacy! The goal of this year’s campaign is to help individuals promote environmental protection and help make our earth more sustainable.

Over the years, we have had the opportunity to work with some pretty incredible organizations, including those that are focused on environmental sustainability. Mascots are a great way to promote environmental initiatives as they get people more engaged with the cause and help promote brand awareness!

Creating awareness for your school or organization is one of, if not the main, reason to create a custom mascot. You want your target audience to be able to engage with the character of your organization and relate it to the visual appearance and personality of your mascot. The goal is to create a mascot and integrate it as the face of your organization.

One of BAM Mascots’ clients did this in a tremendous way. They introduced and promoted their mascot in a way that got it noticed within their community right off the bat.

Promote Your Brand at Trade Shows with the Help of Your Mascot

Using your mascot to promote your brand is the perfect way to interact with your target market on a more personal level. People view mascots as a friendly and familiar face, not as a sales person trying to sell a service or product.  

When your brand is mentioned, consumers who have interacted with your mascot will have a visual memory, and likely a very positive connection. A 'visual memory' can be a stronger reminder than a slogan or logo, so, if you want your brand to be memorable, consider using a mascot at public events.

Historic Kewpie Mascots Charm Hickman High School

 You might be familiar with Kewpie dolls, or illustrations, based on an adorable cherub-like character developed in the early 1900’s by artist and writer Rose O’Neill for a comic strip.

Kewpie dolls gained popularity as paper cut-outs, and were subsequently manufactured in the 1920's as toy dolls made from bisque. Decades later, Kewpie dolls were still in demand, and they were mass produced from plastic and rubber. Today, the early bisque versions are rare and highly desired by antique doll collectors.

For the past 100 years, Hickman High School has had a Kewpie as their mascot.
