The Guelph Games has unveiled their brand-new custom-designed mascot costume with a live unboxing video posted on their Facebook profile.
The mascot, which will be named through a contest to the general public at a yet-to-be-decided date in the future, has been designed as a lion to reflect the strong participants and athletes who will take part in The Guelph Games.
The custom lion mascot character was created by BAM Mascots. He has been designed with enhanced features such as a crown to acknowledge his home city of Guelph which is commonly referred to as the Royal City, as well as a jersey to inspire the athletes taking part in The Guelph Games.
Speaking of the design process, The Guelph Games commented that BAM Mascots “were amazing” and highlighted that they “did such a great job” (aww shucks.. It’s easy when you have such terrific clients!).

What are the Guelph Games?
The Guelph games is an exciting new multi-sport event coming to Guelph. The event will see hundreds of athletes, friends and families from across both Ontario and Canada come together to celebrate sport and compete in the annual Guelph Games: Masters Multi-Sport Festival.
The event has been specifically created to showcase the best of what Guelph has to offer. The University of Guelph will be host to most of the sporting events, with the addition of one beach volleyball court right in the downtown core on Carden Street - which will also be the hub for all the fun and festivities with daily DJs, music and entertainment.
Commenting on the event, Cam Guthrie, Mayor of Guelph, said: “We can’t wait to host athletes, coaches, families and fans for the annual Guelph Games. We will roll out the red carpet for you - from the world-class athletic facilities at the University of Guelph, to our vibrant downtown full of great restaurants, shops, and entertainment.
